Inclusive summer camps.
Meet Igor, a teenage boy born with autism

Igor is a teenager who has been living with autism since birth. Autism is a condition that affects how a person communicates and interacts with others. It is also often associated with repetitive behaviors or specific, intense interests. These characteristics can make life more challenging—not only for the individuals themselves but also for those around them, especially their parents.
To support both children and their families, S & E Agency launched inclusive summer camps. These camps aim to help children and teenagers with disabilities fully enjoy their holidays, while also giving their parents peace of mind, knowing their children are safe, happy, and well cared for.
Igor, despite his autism, is a happy and calm young person. He often displays repetitive behaviors, like hand-flapping and finger-flicking. He speaks less than other children and usually doesn’t interact much during play. Still, these things don’t stop him from finding joy or forming connections in his own special way.
Message from Igor to Parents:
“I want to encourage all parents to give us the chance to spend holidays with other children. With your support, and the help of trained supervisors, we are capable of doing so many amazing things! All you need is to trust us and take a small step—give us a few days to explore a part of ourselves that even you may not have seen yet. I love you.”
After attending the inclusive summer camp in Rwanda, Igor had a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Now, he wants to invite others to join in:
“I invite all children and teenagers—without exception—to join us in the next edition of the summer camp. I especially hope to meet other children with disabilities, like me, so we can share this special experience together. Let’s not be afraid or ashamed of our disabilities. We also have the right to be happy.”
